Myself Baban Bhagwan Yede, staying At Post AnjanvatiVillage, Dist.; Beed, (MH). I stay in a village whose population is about3000and nearly 350 families belong to the farming community. I am 56 years farmerand did my 4th Std. My educational carrier I had decided to do the farming in abetter way. I am having 13 acres of land, in which we use 4 acres of land forgrowing cotton, 5 acres of land for growing Udit and on balance 3 acres othercrop like turmeric etc.
Last year Cotton was the main crop grown and the varietiesused were Kaveri-ATM, moneymaker. Although the conditions were not thatsuitable for cotton crop but still I could get a yield of 10 to 12-q/acre.Other farmers obtained less yield due to local seed varieties used by them.This year also I will be Kaveri-ATM, moneymaker using and I am planning to havedistance of 6.000ft x 1. 25ft.In the month of June end sowing of seeds iscompleted on 4 acres of land. For 4 acres of land 200kg of Urea Rs.1280/- ,20kgof magnesium sulphate Rs.400/- and 200kgof 10:26:26 Rs.4600/- was used. Seedpackets of Rs750/800, 5/6 packets used in 4 acres land. Method of dripirrigation was used and as per the sources there is enough water in tube wellfor sowing process. Plucking charges is of around Rs. 6/7 per kg, total costingform farming in 1acre is Approx. Rs.15000/-per acre.

*IF RAINS ARE THEREON TIME AND NO DAMAGE TO CROPWITH BETTER YIELD, FARMERS ARE EXPECTING PRICES OFRS 4200/- TO 4800/- PER QTLSAME AS LAST YEAR.
*IF THE RAINS ARE DELAYED AND YIELD IS LESS FARMERSAREEXPECTING RS.5500/- TO 6000/- AND ABOVE DURING PERIOD OF OCT / NOV &DEC.
